About The Club

Activities: Tonbridge Lawn Tennis Club has an active club tennis programme with teams in both the Kent and Maidstone Leagues. Club tournaments and competitions are held for all levels, as well as a varied programme of social events. 

Play & Coaching: Play, Team Play and coaching continues throughout the year with the floodlit courts well utilised.

Facilities: Six all-weather floodlit courts, providing year round playing and coaching facilities for adults / juniors with ample car parking space and clubhouse in the  grounds.

Atmosphere: The club is friendly with no entry qualifications. It is recommended that those returning to tennis after a break and beginners should start with some confidence-boosting coaching. Come to see the Club in action at one of our sessions and play for a nominal £2 ( refundable when you join ). *Additional small shared cost if floodlights are in use.

History: In 1998, the Club in partnership with Hugh Christie Technology College and Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council received Community Tennis Partnership status from the Lawn Tennis Association.

Through Tonbridge Community Tennis Partnership the club has regular contact with local schools providing introductory coaching sessions for students.

Where: Tonbridge Lawn Tennis Club is in the grounds of the Hugh Christie Technology College, Kent, TN10 4PU. Access via a secure entrance in White Cottage Road from Shipbourne Road. Non Members need to make contact to gain initial access.See Contacts.
